The East Coast Music Conference is dedicated to supporting musicians and all levels of the music industry. That also means supporting our venues, service workers, and broader community. With COVID-19, we are looking at not just a health crisis but an economic crisis. Our industry, music, and the adjacent industries like restaurants and hospitality are going to be among the hardest hit. We are asking for your help to Save the Summer.
We’re offering a special Save the Summer VIP Package that includes all of the elements of the regular VIP package and adds a $25 gift certificate to one of our partner retailers, restaurants, or venues. You’ll get to choose from the participating locations right away, and we’ll get that money into their hands to help them survive and hopefully keep more staff on board. We will get the gift certificate for you, and you can pick it up at ECMC registration in June. If we have to postpone, we’ll send you the gift certificate in June so you can use it as soon as businesses are able to re-open.
The purpose of doing this is to help businesses survive now but also to give all of us and our community something to look forward to…when we’ll be able to get together and celebrate supporting each other during this crisis.
Save the Summer Package
Add the Save the Summer package to either a Platinum or Music Only registration. The Save the Summer package helps local businesses directly by purchasing a $25 gift certificate from one of several small businesses. It also includes everything in the VIP package: an official ECMC shirt; official poster; ticket to the International Independent Music Video Awards; signed, limited edition Foxfires Flexi-disc (ECMC exclusive release), and limited reserved VIP seating at select venues and performances. After purchase, you’ll receive an email with a list of participating businesses. Select which business you would like to receive a gift certificate from, and we will get your purchase to that business you’re supporting. Gift certificates will be with your registration package in June. In the unlikely event we have to postpone, the gift certificate will be mailed to you directly in June.
If you don’t want an ECMC package, please consider getting a gift certificate to an affected business directly in your local community. With so many businesses currently closed and so many people responsibly staying home, it can be difficult to even get a gift certificate for some places. We’re working it out with our partners to handle that for you.
ECMC is making no profit on these packages. We’re doing this to support our partners, the workers, and our community.
We have several Save the Summer partners already and we are looking to add more. If you’re in service, restaurant, entertainment, or other areas in our region, please email us at info@EastCoastMusicConference.com.
Follow us on Facebook and Instagram for updates about resources to help get through this tough time and the online programming we’re coordinating during the social distancing period.
Save the Summer is about helping businesses in the entertainment and hospitality industries survive and support their employees now and helping our communities look forward to the brighter days just ahead. This is not “the new normal”…this is a short-term crisis, and we can get through it together!
