Applications for the 2018 ECMC have closed. The 2019 application will be available in June. Attendees who are not scheduled to perform will still be able to perform in open mics, busking, and there lots of spaces around the conference and in Downtown Norfolk to just jam. The ECMC for 2018 featured over 100 artists playing on multiple stages in Norfolk, VA.

All accepted performers received full access passes to all shows, panels, and speakers ($99 value per pass). The performances took place in an array of surprising venues including urban rooftops and one of the most acclaimed libraries built in the U.S. in recent years. The selected artists represented a range of styles and fusion of music and came from 5 countries and 20 states (foreign artists must have the appropriate visa).
