Help for Something in the Water Vendors
The unfortunate cancellation of Something in the Water due to the COVID-19 outbreak is having a dramatic impact on many local sponsors and vendors during a critical part of the season. ECMC is attempting to help by offering special rates to SITW partners at various ECMC locations and events. In the event of other major event cancellations in the region, ECMC will offer the same help to those vendors and partners as well. Space is limited so get in touch as soon as possible.
Be a Part of ECMC
ECMC welcomes community involvement! Every year we partner with a variety of volunteers, businesses, and organizations, without which ECMC just wouldn’t be as great. Here are some ways to be a part of ECMC. All are extremely affordable compared to most other festivals in the region and some are FREE! To reach out about any of these opportunities, email us at info@EastCoastMusicConference.com for more info.
Sell at the ECMC Market
We feature local merchants in high traffic areas of ECMC. The ECMC Market puts local businesses in front of both the large local crowds and our international community for a fraction of the cost of any other option. Spaces are limited! Preference is given to locally owned businesses and locally produced products.
Become a Featured Local Attraction
We feature local attractions in various ways at ECMC. Info tables at various events, special ads in the ECMC program, and material in registration bags are among the options. ECMC’s out of town visitors have a track record of visiting other attractions during ECMC, and your promotion can continue to reach local attendees indefinitely. Make sure they see you during this massive weekend of events.
Share the Flavor of the 757
Do you have a restaurant, food truck, or other food or drink related business? ECMC has a way for you to grow your clientele. Traditional opportunities may include special offers for ECMC attendees or participating in an on-site event. If your product is a packaged food, you may be able to get samples out to the thousands of ECMC attendees. Other opportunities include something really cool like hosting an artist reception or a Meet and Greet for a speaker.
Show ’em What You Got
Since we began, ECMC has included art exhibits, product launches, tech demos, and even an Artificial Intelligence installation. ECMC is a great conference and festival for independent music from around the world, but it’s also a platform to show the world what our host region has to offer. Art, fashion, tech and more… if you have something unique, we may be able to help you show it off! Let’s talk about it.
User Created Programming
Our team and collaborators have a lot of great ideas, but we don’t have a monopoly on great ideas. If you can bring something to the ECMC program that makes it more interesting, something that can spark a moment of joy for some of ECMC’s attendees, we may be able to help you bring it to life.
Busk Away
Busking is permitted (no permit needed) throughout downtown Norfolk until midnight every day. We welcome all buskers! Unlike some other festivals, you’re welcome to busk WITHIN THE FESTIVAL FOOTPRINT. Come share your music with us!
Volunteer!
ECMC is powered by hundreds of volunteer hours every year. Volunteers do almost everything. They run retail stands, check passes at pass restricted events, act as ambassadors at free events, make up street teams, help artists and speakers get where they need to be, and help attendees find the events they’re interested in. ECMC 2020 will need more volunteers than ever. We work with our volunteers to find jobs that are fun for them and let them attend the events they most want to be a part of. Volunteers never pay for any ECMC produced event.
