ECMC PROGRAM & FULL CONCERT LISTING – MAY 10 -13, 2018

 

The ECMC programming  for 2018 runs throughout the heart of Downtown Norfolk. A wide range of family friendly programming for music fans of all ages will be hosted by Slover Library. On Friday and Saturday the Norfolk Waterside Marriott hosts the ECMC EXPO and more than 30 industry panels, seminars, and workshops focused on the needs and careers of independent musicians! Beginning every evening Granby Street and the NEON District come alive with original music of all kinds, from all over the U.S. and the world.

Check out live performances at a wide range of venues throughout downtown Norfolk. Busk or enjoy buskers. Check out the ECMC record store on the 5th Floor of the Slover for the latest release and gear from many of the nearly 100 artists playing ECMC. Enjoy a wide range of free family friendly activities and performances. Enjoy outdoor and festival-type performances day & night.

Thursday May, 10

3 p.m. ECMC 2018 kicks with Beat the Streets a celebration of street music and busking. Torrin Da Boss starts it off on the 3rd floor terrace of the Slover. Other local artists will

keep it going around the Plume Street area. Want to be a part of it? Busking is legal and encouraged in Norfolk. All you have to do is bring your voice, your instrument, your means of musical expression and play. You can perform on the streets every night until midnight and we hope you will!

This is a great opportunity to hang out on the terrace and hear some great music by artists from near and far in an inspiring setting. All original music! Open to the public.
