The ECMC 2018 united 7300 musicians, industry pros, and music fans for 4 days of interactive fun, learning, and great live performances in surprising spaces throughout Downtown Norfolk, VA.  With dozens of public activities and performances; industry networking and educational opportunities for conference attendees; and exclusive parties and shows, ECMC has something for everyone who works in or just loves music!

ECMC 2018 featured nearly 100 performances by over 80 artists from 6 countries and 20 states, in a wide range of musical genres. Fans, artists, and industry experts rocked out together at nearly a dozen venues in throughout the Granby, Ghent, and Neon District areas of Norfolk. Music lovers also experienced listening parties, intimate shows in non-traditional venues, rooftop shows, and interactive, music-based activities.

 

ECMC 2018 was one of the largest music conferences and showcases in the U.S. Musicians learned from and were inspired by gold and platinum winning experts on topics including publishing, sync licensing, marketing, music placement, copyright law, touring, recording, merchandising, and more. Additionally musicians participated in invaluable networking with other artists and industry professionals, listening parties, and meet & greets and signings for fans. Other activities for artists included  open mics every night, and participating in the legal busking throughout Downtown Norfolk.
