Dentist is a female fronted indie surf trio from Asbury Park, NJ. In 2018, Dentist made the A.V. Club’s list of “Most anticipated albums of 2018,” were named one of the “Top 10 bands at SXSW 2018” by the Mercury News, listed as a “favorite new musical discovery” on NPR’s Sound Opinions, and had tv appearances on Sound Diego NBC California and Fox 29’s The Q. They also made the NACC Top 200 for college radio, peaking at number 58. Forming a little over 4 years ago, founder Lisa Mongelli (drums) hooked up with Cory Todd (singer/guitarist). DTK built a following through dynamic live performances and steady touring. They were chosen to contribute the end title track of the big budget remake of Point Break. The result, “Still Breathing,” was the centerpiece of the Alcon/Warner Bros. movie and soundtrack.

Born in New York City and currently residing in South Florida, multi-instrumentalist, singer, songwriter emmanuelle sasson asked her father if she could take guitar lessons when she was just 6. When he said yes, emmanuelle practiced for hours upon hours until “I had to dip my fingers in ice water because they burned so much.” At 14, emmanuelle began taking voice lessons while continuing to feed her YouTube channel with song covers in the solitude of her bedroom/music studio. emmanuelle is currently in junior high school and occasionally performs covers on the streets of Miami. She is an active member of H.O.P.E. club (Helping Overcome Problems Effectively) and is an advocate to help spread awareness of mental health issues. video
